BARROW AFC boss Stephen Clemence says everyone at the club will keep working harder to turn things around.
The Bluebirds bad run continued with a 3-1 defeat at home against AFC Wimbledon at the weekend.
Clemence has faith in his side to get back on track, although he accepts that won’t come without everyone pulling together.
He said: “The one thing I know from my experience from my playing days and from my time as a coach is that these runs can and do happen.
“You can go on runs where things don’t go for you and you come out on the wrong side of results, and you have runs maybe like the one we had at the start of the season where we were coming out on the right side.
“We could maybe do with a little bit of luck at the minute or something going our way, but you have to earn that.
“And you do that by sticking together and working harder than you’ve done before.
“And that’s what we will do.
“I’ve said it before these boys are hungry to do well and I know they are frustrated at the minute, just as I am.
“But what we won’t do is just accept things. We will keep working hard and keep looking to do the right things and to turn it around.
“And we will turn it around I have no doubt about that.
“This is a tight league and there usually isn’t too much between teams. Maybe at the weekend the difference was a couple of mistakes.
“But look we aren’t too far away and there’s long way left to go in the season.”
With no midweek clash for the Bluebirds Clemence will be hoping that a full week’s training can benefit his side.
He said: “A full week in training gives you a chance to work on things and hopefully get a few players closer to getting back out there.
“We will go through the game with the players and identify things that went well and things that we can do better like we do with every game.”
Clemence will be hoping the likes of Dom Telford, who missed much of last week with illness and was only fit enough for a place on the bench against the Dons, will be back and firing on all cylinders ahead of this weekend’s League Two clash away to Chesterfield.
He will also be hoping for some good news on the injury front in regards to Kian Spence and Sam Foley, with the Barrow boss admitting he only really had two fir midfielders to choose from last weekend.”
