Stephen Clemence is hoping today's game is a chance for Barrow to 'prove' themselves against tough opposition.
The Bluebirds welcome Doncaster Rovers to the SO Legal Stadium for FA Cup First Round action.
Recent memories will hark back to a 1-0 defeat handed out by the same opposition in the league just last month with the cup clash a chance to make amends.

Clemence said: "When we played Doncaster last time, it came in the middle of a really tough period for us.
"We had a lot of games in a very tight schedule, and we also had quite a few players out, so I don't think that they saw the best of us on that occasion.
"So I'm telling my players to build on that game and show Doncaster who we really are."

With winter on the horizon, the schedule is only going to get more hectic for every club in the land with every player in the Barrow squad set to be vital at some stage or another.
"We've had a bit of illness around the squad this week, but we've also got a couple of lads coming back to fitness," said Clemence.
"I want to give everyone minutes, which will come over the next few months, but I also still have to pick a team that's going to win games."

For the Bluebirds, the change in competition may suit them, with October proving to be a tough month for the side after a promising start to the season.
But, as the calendar turns another page, November can be a fresh start, with the FA Cup being the perfect circumstance to rediscover some form.
Clemence added: "It's not about it being a welcome break because we're still approaching the match as one that we really want to win.
"I'm looking forward to being back in the FA Cup - Doncaster are a side that try to win every game like we do, instead of sitting back, so I'm hoping it's going to be a really good and entertaining game for the fans."
