BARROW AFC new boy Charlie Kirk is delighted to have joined the club.
The 26-year-old joins The Bluebirds on a deal until the end of the season with the option of a further year.
He told the club’s official YouTube channel: “I’ve been training here for the last week to 10 days, and got to know the lads really well.
“The lads are top class and I’ve really enjoyed being back in training.
“Obviously, I’ve not done anything for three or four months now, so to get back into a club, and club like this, is everything, and I’m very happy.
“I spoke to people behind the scenes and they said ‘we know what you can do and what you’re about, so just come here and express yourself’ and that’s what I want to do.”
Kirk spent the majority of his career with Crewe Alexandra, playing over 200 times for the Cheshire-based side.
He has been training with Stephen Clemence’s side over the past couple of weeks and has impressed the Barrow boss enough to earn himself a deal.
