DALTON and Hindpool Tigers completed a league and top-four double at Thatto Heath to round off the Amateur Rugby League season.

Dalton move into the Premier Division of the North West Men’s League finishing champions of Division One.

They followed up with a 28-16 victory over Westhoughton Lions in Saturday's top-four final.

Tries came from Zac Steel, Elliot Bibby, Cavan Armstrong, Isaac Barber, and Roly Seward with Pat Kelly adding four goals.

Joe Crarey was named man-of-the-match for the second week running.

Hindpool move into Division One after finishing Division Two champions and Saturday's play-off winners against West Bank Bulls to the tune of 34-10.

The Tigers had an early start leaving at 7.30am for the 11.30am kick-off, while the Banks had only a 10-minute journey.

The deadlock was broken on 25 minutes when Daryl Archer stepped round his marker to score with Ryan Kyte converting 6-0.

On the back of penalties, the Tigers moved downfield for Finley Goodings to score and make it 10-0 at the break.

The Bank came out strong in the second half, but a loose ball enabled Paul Rickleton to power in to dot the ball down, Grant Burns converting 16-0.

And it was Burns who turned the clock back over the years to cross for a typical Burns try 20-0.

He missed the conversion, but soon added a penalty goal 22-0.

The Bank came back strong with a converted try for 22-6 only for the Tigers to hit back when Cameron McDermott sent Goodings in for his second try, Kyte adding the goal from the touchline 28-6.

Smart attacking play saw Archer send a neat pass out of the backdoor for Jack Osman to score, Kyte adding the goal 34-6.

The Bank closed the scoring with an unconverted try as the Tigers celebrated an historic season.
