BARROW Raiders Ladies head coach Amanda Wilkinson admits she will have to ring the changes when her side travel to face league leaders St Helens tomorrow night.

Raiders secured fifth place with last weekend’s 24-4 win over Huddersfield Giant – an excellent return in the first season in Super League.

With that in mind, some might see tomorrow night’s clash with the Champions in waiting as something of a dead rubber.

That not how Wilkinson sees it, and not how she wants her squad to see it either.

She told the club’s official Facebook page: “People are saying it’s a nothing game.

“For me in any sport there’s no such things as a nothing game, so I’ve had a real good think about how do we approach it?

“You’ve got to make sure you get the girls in the right mindset to go to St Helens and perform.

“No matter what each person needs to go there and get something out of the game and give their best.

“So, it’s about how do we get the best out of the players.

“We’ve got a few injuries, we’ve got a ban and a couple of people missing, so there’s going to be a lot of changes to the squad, a bit of rotation and like I say a couple of players that haven’t played getting some game time.

“But that won’t take away from what we are about. It’s still about going out there and performing and making sure we give the game everything we’ve got.”

Wilkinson has named the following 20-woman squad for the trip to the Totally Wicked Stadium: Jazz Callon, Leah Clough, Leah Cottier, Mia Dobson, Kelly Friend, Fran Harley, Claire Hutchinson, Emma Hutchinson, Michelle Larkin, Beth Lindsay, Jodie Litherland, Laura Mellen, Jodie Morley, Maddie Neale, Hannah Sherlock, Kerrie-Ann Smith, Nicole Stewart, Emily Stirzaker, Amy Sunderland, Vanessa Temple.
