BARROW Raiders head coach Paul Crarey is forced to make wholesale changes to his squad for the trip to Doncaster tomorrow.

Following last week's fine win over Sheffield Eagles, Crarey is without loan players Reagan Sumner, Ryan Brown (both Wigan) and Kavan Rothwell (Leigh) who are all unavailable due to parent club duties this weekend.

Also not on the bus are skipper Jarrad Stack and Greg Worthington who both took knocks in the win over Sheffield, while Andrew Bullman and Ryan Johnston are both on the treatment table and set to miss out for a second successive weekend.

Into the 19-man squad come Barrow Island winger Max Anderson-Moore, Tom Wilkinson, Max Clarke and Delaine-Bed-Gittens.

Amateur winger Moore is set to pull on a Barrow shirt for the second time this season; he made his debut early days in the 1895 cup tie at Wakefield where he crossed for a brace of tries.

Crarey could have recalled Mike Ogunwole, who is on loan at Workington but the Army serving forward is out injured.

Blain Marwood came to Barrow in exchange from Workington, but he is unavailable.

Crarey is taking the loss of several players on the chin.

Speaking ahead of the game, he said: “We have to go with what we have. It is a blow losing so many of last week's squad that did so well in us beating Sheffield in a game where we were outstanding.

“It is always difficult to back up a good win going into the next game, and this week it is going to be more difficult.

“But the lads that come in will do a good job and we are under no pressure.

“Doncaster being the home side will be under pressure to get a win before their own supporters.

“We will get this one out of the way and look forward to Bradford coming to Craven Park next week.”

Doncaster who pulled off a fine win at Featherstone last week (24-12) have signed Jamaica international forward A J Wallace from Hull KR.

Wallace played in all three world cup games for his Country in 2022.

The 21-year-old is a former Leeds Academy player.

Doncaster who won 34-6 at Craven Park earlier in the season brought in some experienced players following promotion from League One.

Players like Luke Briscoe, Reece Lyne, Brett Ferris and Pauli Pauli.

Doncaster are in eighth position on 15 points, while Barrow are 12th on 12 points.
