BARROW Raiders have announced a new partnership with live music venue The Meeting Place.

The Meeting Place has agreed a deal to support the Barrow Raiders Ladies team.

Amanda Wilkinson’s squad is enjoying their debut season in Group 1 of the Women’s Super League. 

The venue continue their support of the club, having previously sponsored the Raiders Ladies’ midlayers during the 2022 campaign. 

Speaking about the new agreement, Gary Wood, owner of The Meeting Place told Barrow Raiders’ official website: “All of us at The Meeting Place are over the moon to be supporting Barrow Ladies again this season. 

“Their promotion to the Women’s Super League was well deserved, and we’re all looking forward to supporting them at as many games as we can.

“Female rugby league is on the up at the moment, and we’re proud to be part of it and hopefully help make it known to more people that there is an amazing Barrow Raiders Ladies team too.”

Barrow Raiders chairman Steve Neale said: “We have worked closely with The Meeting Place to promote upcoming events and matchday tickets, so it is fantastic to see them extend this relationship further, in what is an already important year for the club’s women’s team. 

“Deals like this are crucial as we look to continue the development of our female pathway, and I am grateful to Gary and his team for continuing to show the utmost faith in what we are trying to do.”

Commercial manager Adele Neale said: “The Meeting Place is a fantastic venue for Barrow and provides great live music and entertainment for everyone.

“We are so pleased that Gary is continuing his sponsorship with our Women’s Super League team.

“He is a fantastic partner for the club, and it is great that, as local businesses, we can all work so closely together to achieve our common goals.”
