Barrow Raiders welcome back loan duo Harvey Makin and Jacob Douglas from Wigan who go straight into the squad against Halifax tonight kick off 6pm along with the returning Greg Worthington.
Douglas, a speed merchant, played Super League for Wigan in the 19-18 win over Warrington two weeks ago, and is a real capture for Barrow.
Makin is a 100 per cent no nonsense forward who punches well above his weight, while Worthington who retired at the end of last season is due to face his former club where he spent over nine years.
Coach Paul Crarey is happy to have Worthington back on board, he said: “Greg will add some steel up front, he has a positive attitude and a lad who has kept himself fit.
“It's also good to have the two Wigan lads back with us.”
Crarey is without half-back Brad Walker who misses his first game of the campaign with a calf strain, so it is likely that Adam Jackson will fill in at stand-off to partner Ryan Johnston.
Greg Burke and Aaron Smith are both on the treatment table and could be back for next Sunday's trip to Swinton.
It is another vital game for Barrow who have to pick up points in home games ,and tonight they face a Halifax team that are desperate to pull away from the second from bottom spot in the table.
The Yorkshire side are four points above bottom club Dewsbury and two points behind Barrow who are on level points with Whitehaven, Batley and Swinton.
With Smith unavailable and another loan player Tom Forber injured - both hookers, Crarey will look to possibly move Luke Creswell up from full-back or Tom Wilkinson from loose forward to take over the vital role when giving Josh Wood time out.
Barrow go for a third home Yorkshire scalp in a row to follow victories over Batley and Featherstone in what is a very competitive Championship division.
Halifax are not having the best of seasons, but have several strike players on board none other than former Great Britain and Warrington full-back Gareth Widopp, who has returned to his hometown club.
Widopp spent several years in Australia before coming back to these shores.
At half-back they have French international Louis Jouffrett and goal-kicker Joe Keyes while this week they added former French international forward Clement Boyer, who spent eight years with Toulouse.
