Amateur rugby league returns this weekend following a week off due to the Challenge Cup Final at Wembley.
In the Conference Second Division, Barrow Island take on west Cumbrian newcomers Ellenborough at the John Jefferson Stadium.
Island welcome back former Walney player Jordan Staffieri and Max-Anderson-Moore while unavailable are Shane Sanderson and Finn Dutton.
Island are not having the best of seasons and are second bottom with just three wins and 11 losses, while their visitors are in sixth position with five wins, five defeats and one draw.
Island coach Jamie Curtis said ahead of the game: “We’ve done some soul searching over the past few days, we believe with the ability that we have in the squad we should be further up the table.
“We are looking much stronger this week as over the last few games we have had selection problems through one thing and another.
“Hopefully we get the two points on offer and give us a momentum shift, and we will start climbing the table.”
Millom travel to Dewsbury Celtic with a young squad, but coach Brad Crellin has faith in his youngsters, and is confident of bringing the points home.
Unavailable are Ethan Kelly, Hanley Dawson, Kyle Evans, Jonathan Hodgson, Nial Harris and Daniel Hartley, while Bobby Wright makes a welcome return.
In the North West Men’s League, Dalton travel to Hindley in Division One, and not on the bus are Declan Gavin and Tom Sharp.
However, back in for selection are Zac Steel, Joe Crarey and Isaac Barbour.
Hindpool Tigers look to keep their unbeaten record intact and make it six from six when they entertain Wigan Springview at Brisbane Park.
Unavailable are Connor McDermott, Ethan Buchanan and Finn Goodings, while back are Tom Heighton and Jack Stevens.
Coach Kev Kyte is looking to give Ioan Hayes more game time after a good performance off the bench in the last home game with Waterhead.
In the Cumberland league, Askam are up the coast at Ellenborough Rangers ‘A’ and are likely to field a similar team that defeated Egremont two weeks ago.
There’s only one change to the squad seeking their first away win with Brad Kavanagh coming in for the injured Rob Cockayne.
In the Barrow Vantage Competitions League on Wednesday Dalton ‘A’ were 42-34 winners over Hindpool/Roose ‘A’.
Stuart High crossed for a hat-trick of tries with others coming from Tom Sharpe (2), Taylor Wilson and Sam Knott, with Mason Laisby adding seven goals.
For Hindpool/Roose tries came via Jack Osman, Lewis Sayle, Rocco Scarpone, Oliver Dilks and Ryan Kyte, who added one conversion as did Dilks, with two from Sam Beattie.
