BARROW Raiders head coach Paul Crarey said his side have to compete and keep errors to a minimum if they are to prevail against Bradford Bulls.

Crarey’s side travel to the Odsal Stadium on Sunday full of confidence after their 25-12 victory over Featherstone Rovers last week.

However, the Barrow coach will be without Harvey Makin, Jacob Douglas, Tom Forber and Ryan Brown, who have all been recalled to Wigan.

Doubtful for selection is Jarrad Stack, who played his first game for several weeks in the defeat of Featherstone following his return from Australia.

Stack led from the front in an all-round team display last Sunday and played the full 80 minutes pulling off two try saving tackles.

Back in the reckoning are Max Clarke, Brett Carter, Mike Ogunwole, Delaine Bed-Gittens and Adam Jackson. The latter is included for the first time this campaign after struggling with niggling injuries.

Speaking ahead of the game, Crarey said: “Bradford have a small playing area about ten yards shorter in length than Craven Park, so we will have to weigh up our options. Our record against Bradford over the last two years has been good with four wins.

“Last season, Adam Jackson helped out at Odsal when we were short in numbers, and we won against all the odds 14-10.

“We will roll up our sleeves and give it all we have. We have to compete and keep the errors to a minimum. We know we can go away and compete.

“We went to Toulouse a couple of weeks ago without several of the squad and at one stage were ahead 16-4. But they are a full time team and they wore us down in the second half.”

Bradford go into the match on the back of a last-minute 21-20 defeat against Batley Bulldogs following Josh Woods’ last-minute drop goal.
