HINDPOOL Tigers take on Bank Quay Bulls at Brisbane Park in the North West Men’s League Trophy Cup this weekend.

Coach Kev Kyte will field a strong line-up for the clash with the Warrington based side.

The Tigers welcome back goal-kicking veteran and try-scorer Grant Burns, along with exciting young talented Rocco Scarpone. Unavailable are Jamie Lynn and Reece Craig.

Also looking to make progress are Roose Pioneers, who travel to Blackpool Scorpion.

Missing from last week's 46-22 defeat at Mayfield “A” are Matty Roberts and Dave Finlayson, but the squad is boosted by the return of Euan James, Sam Johnson, Ethan Bowness and Grant Roberts.

Due to the cup competitions, Dalton and Ulverston face a blank weekend.

In the Cumberland league, Askam take on Cockermouth Tigers at Fallowfield Park.

A 21-man squad has been named with a late decision on the final 17.

Back in contention are Rob Cockayne, Brad Kavanagh and Marley Johnson, while set for his debut is youngster Jude McNamara- Everett.

Unavailable are Kieran Norman and Luke Bolton.

In the National Conference, Barrow Island are on the road deep into Yorkshire where they face Thornhill Trojans.

Josh McBain and Jordan Staffieri make a welcome return, otherwise it is a similar squad that lost 34-10 at Division Two leaders Shaw Cross.

Millom also travel to Yorkshire with a visit to Normanton Knights, not on the bus are Lee Postlethwaite, Naki Saumaki, Jude Lupton, Ethan Kelly and Ross Brooks, but back in the fold are Jonathan Hodgson, Jarty Robinson and possibly Owen High.

In the Barrow League on Wednesday, Barrow Island “A” won a thrilling encounter with Millom “A” 38-34.

Oli Holmes led the way for the Island with a hat-trick of tries, while others came from Corey Barker, Matty Sayle, Will Scott and Brad Dutton with five goals from Sayle.

For Millom, the tries came from Cade Heavyside, Jarty Proctor, Ryan Dickinson, Luke Allonby and Trent Ruddy (2) with four goals from Heavyside.
