HOLDERS Ulverston take on Roose Pioneers in the semi-final of the Barton Townley Cup at Craven Park today (kick-off 1pm).
Ulverston defeated Dalton in last year’s final, and are almost at full strength apart from a trio of injured players.
Ruled out are skipper Matty Storey, Charlie Garner and Scott Askew while late fitness tests await Oliver Wilkes, Liam Saunders and Jake Spedding - all are on the brink of being given the green light.
A total of 25 lads have put their hands up to play with no less than 30 going through the drills this week.
Dan Horne has work commitments while sitting it out is Ryan John whose wife is due to give birth.
They will leave it late before they decide on the 17 to take to the field.
Ulverston’s game last week at Thatto Heath “A” was abandoned due to an injury to the match official, while Pioneers warmed up with a 62-6 victory over Wigan Springview.
Roose are without Sam Johnson and Duane Gaitskell, but welcome back former Millom player Rickie Donaghue, Grant Robinson and young Ollie Dilkes.
The final 17 has not been decided. Millom received a walk over into the final as scheduled opponents Askam withdrew due to a shortage of players
