BARROW AFC boss Pete Wild won’t be taking anything for granted when the League Two basement boys Forest Green Rovers come to Holker Street tonight.
Rovers have won just four of their 30 league games so far this term and are nine points from safety.
They suffered a 4-0 home defeat against Mansfield Town at the weekend, and many may see this game as the ideal way for the Bluebirds to bounce back from their 2-0 away-day loss against AFC Wimbledon on Saturday.
But Wild says no one at the club is getting ahead of themselves.
He told the club’s official Facebook page: “One thing we don’t do is take any team lightly, and that goes for Forest Green tonight.
“One million per cent we won’t be taking Forest Green lightly.
“They have signed some unbelievable players, a lot of players better than the level, and you know that some point they will pick up results because of the players they have brought in.
“What we have to do is make sure that Holker Street is a tough place to come to.
“We have to make sure we are really good at what we do, and we have to make sure we negate what they are really good at.”
