AFC Wimbledon will be right in the mix come the end of the season – that’s the verdict of Barrow AFC boss Pete Wild.
Speaking to the club’s official Facebook page ahead of today’s clash, he said: “We know how tough Wimbledon can be.
“They have been one of the tougher teams to come to Holker Street this season, so we know what to expect.
“They will be wanting to push today to try to get back into the play-off places and I certainly believe come the shake up at the end of the season they will be a team fighting to be where we want to be.
“All of those things put into a pot means it is a really important game for us today.”
And Wild says he is looking for his side to continue to maintain the fighting spirit they have shown all season.
He added: “The attitude and application of the players and the staff has been outstanding.
“When you have bumps in the road you are looking for character and I think our character has shone through over a million miles in the past two weeks, which I knew it would.
“I never had any doubt with the personnel we have that the character would shine through.
“And it shows why we have had such a good season so far.”
