Danny Morrow will go into his sixth season with Barrow Raiders after penning a new contract extension.
The back row has suffered a frustrating couple of seasons due to injuries and that was compounded when this season was cut short due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
The signing of Morrow completes a busy week for Raiders, who have tied up a number of last season's squad for the forthcoming season.
Director of Rugby Andy Gaffney said: "He is an important lad for us, he never misses training and he has kept himself really fit throughout the current pandemic.
"He is a real asset to have in the team and has been a regular with us for a few years now, so it was important to get someone like Dan re-signed."
Earlier this week Gaffney said he was hopeful that the players could get back together and begin their pre-season campaign in November.
He said: "We are hoping for a November return to training, but a lot of things could happen between now and then so we have just got to wait and see how things go as it is up in the air.
"The lads have been on personal programmes at home which they're all sticking to well.
"And we've got the players Whatsapp group which is helping the players and the new signings to all stay in touch with each other."
