Former St Helens youth star Joe Sharratt has penned a new one year contract extension with Barrow Raiders.
The former St Helens man had signed with Barrow for the new season, but featured a handful of times due to the curtailment of the league season.
Sharratt, who suffered serious injuries after being the victim of an assault back in 2018, signed last season in search of regular action last season.
Director of Rugby Andy Gaffney was pleased to add another face to the Raiders squad, which will be a 25 man squad for next season.
He said: "He only played a few times after signing for us last time.
"He had a tough time with the injuries he suffered in an incident a few years ago, but we have got him to sign again for the new season and we are excited about that.
"He has done really well to get himself back into a good position.
"He is someone who is quite versatile who can either plan as a centre, or he can play out on the wing.
"Having someone like that is really important for us going forward."
Gaffney revealed that only a few more players from last year are now left to sign.
He added: "Most have been done now. We have the new signings in and then we are just waiting to finish off the others and have the squad together, which will be about 25 players."
