Former Barrow AFC captain Josh Granite has found a new club after he signed for Northern Premier League side Buxton.
The 28-year-old centre-back was one of five players to be released by the Bluebirds in the summer following their promotion from the National League and he has joined the Bucks on a two-year deal as part of a major revamp of their squad.
Buxton were 18th in their division before the 2019/20 campaign was abandoned across steps 3-7 of the non-league pyramid due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Granite made 38 appearances across two seasons for AFC, scoring one goal, but only eight of those came during the most recent campaign due to injuries.
He will, however, be forever remembered by the Holker Street faithful for heroically finishing the match against Sutton United last November despite dislocating his shoulder and fracturing his collarbone.
