With skateboarding set to be part of the Olympics for the first time, more attention is going to be place on the sport than ever before and there's now a new opportunity for juniors to try it out.
From next Tuesday, Urban Extreme Indoor Skate Park are hosting free sessions for boys and girls under the age of 16, with them running for 17 weeks until June 30, just over three weeks before the Games are scheduled to start in Tokyo.
Beginners and experienced boarders are welcome at the park on James Freel Close in Barrow and there will be professional coaches at the sessions to give help to anyone that needs it.
The park only have a limited amount of skateboards, so it is recommended to bring your own if you have one, although helmets will be provided.
Kids can pre-register on Urban Extreme's Facebook page, by email on urbanextreme@yahoo.co.uk or by phone on 01229 343110, giving your name and age.
