Barrow AFC has announced that Dan Jones will be returning to Holker Street.
A product of the Sunderland and Hartlepool United academies, Jones has spent time with Grimsby Town, Gateshead, and AFC Fylde, as well as spending two years with the Bluebirds.
Taking to social media to announce the news, a Barrow AFC media spokesperson said: "We are delighted to announce that Dan Jones has rejoined the club, on loan from Salford City, until the end of the season.
"Born in Sedgefield, Dan was involved with the youth systems at Sunderland and then Hartlepool United before signing a full professional deal with United in the summer of 2013. Over the next three years he made forty one first team appearances before being released in the summer of 2016 and joining Grimsby Town. He did not immediately claim a first team place with the Mariners and in late 2016 he had a five game loan spell in Vanarama National with Gateshead and then early 2017 had a five game spell on loan to AFC Fylde in Vanarama North.
"He made five appearances for the Mariners before being released in the summer 2017 and joining us.
"He made his debut on the opening day of the season at Dagenham & Redbridge and became a key player for the Bluebirds over two seasons. He left for Salford City in League Two last summer and rejoins us ahead of a crucial National League run in."
