In The battle of the top two in Division One of the Furness Premier League, leaders Soccer Bar FC beat Bridge United 2-1 with goals coming from Conner Bone and Carl Gill.
Hayden Skyrme replied for Bridge but they now have a mountain to climb to catch the leaders, who are now five points behind having played two games more.
Ulverston Rangers reserves beat Millom A 4-0 with their goals coming from Reis Sharp, Archie Butler, Jackson Donnan and a heavily deflected Andy Butler strike.
Furness Rovers reserves defeated Furness Cavaliers reserves 3-1 with Cam Mcewan grabbing a brace and Ash Allenby also on target. Robbie Bell replied in vain for Cavs.
Horne Cup action took place at Cavendish Park as Croftlands Park reserves beat Barrow Celtic reserves 7-4 in an absolute thriller to move into the second round.
Croftlands’ goals came from Ben Mooney (4), Jack Stilling (2) and Paul Hartley, while Stu Thompson (2), Derry Greaves and Brennan Middleton all got on the score sheet for Celtic.
The weather put paid to several games across the FPL, including the Horne Cup tie between Division Two champions Coniston and and Walney Island A.
In Division Two, Holker Old Boys A had a thumping 6-0 win over Britannia reserves with their goals coming from Spencer Erdis (2), Tom Park (2), Ben Wallace and Ross McLachlan.
