Two charities received substantial cheques from Ulverston Golf Club at its recent Captain’s Cocktail Party.
On behalf of Guide Dogs for the Blind, which provides life-changing services to those registered blind or partially sighted, Julia Brown (pictured), with her guide dog George, accepted a cheque of £1,000 from lady captain, Deborah Hall.
Maryvonne Dixon, on behalf of Ulverston Mind, a charity with 30 years of delivering mental health services in the district, received £2,280 from Ulverston Golf Club captain, Ian Booth.
The club’s captain and lady captain, are delighted to have supported the continued work of their respective chosen charities.
