The top two teams in the Furness Premier League clash tomorrow, as Vickerstown reserves welcome league leaders Kirkby United to Park Vale.
The hosts will have the chance to overhaul their visitors at the top of the table with a victory, as just one point separates the sides who have set the standards in the Premier Division so far.
Should the teams take points off each other, third-placed Hawcoat Park reserves would have the chance to make inroads - they could actually go level on points with Kirkby if, as expected, they win at struggling Britannia.
The Paul Wilson Memorial Trophy gets under way at the weekend, with six first round ties taking place, with holders Barrow Wanderers facing a tough task to make it over the first hurdle of their defence, as they are at home to Croftlands Park.
Several Division One teams will be looking to bridge the gap against opponents from the league above, including Furness Cavaliers reserves, who welcome cup specialists Bootle.
Askam United reserves will have home advantage against Holker Old Boys reserves, while Crooklands Casuals reserves will have to put their league struggles behind them when they head to Millom reserves.
The other all-Premier Division clash sees Haverigg United face Dalton United reserves, while Bridge United travel to fellow Division One side Furness Rovers reserves at the Training Pitch.
