Two of the chasing pack in the Furness Premier League will face off tomorrow, with fourth playing third in Barrow Celtic’s clash with Hawcoat Park reserves at Newby Terrace.
Just one point currently separates the two teams in the table and both took their chance to close the gap on league leaders Kirkby United last week against Haverigg and Holker Old Boys reserves, respectively.
Vickerstown reserves go into the weekend second in the table and they’ll be fancied to defeat struggling Barrow Wanderers as they look to go one better than last season’s runners-up finish.
Kirkby themselves will be strong favourites to hold off those just behind them, as they’ll be welcoming second-from-bottom Britannia.
Champions Croftlands Park have been on the rise lately and they’ll be looking to continue their good run at home to Holker Old Boys reserves, while sixth-placed Bootle are heading to Dalton United reserves.
After last week’s abandonment at Nelson, due to floodlight failure, Holker Old Boys will be hoping to get through the full 90 minutes tomorrow, when they return to Rakesmoor Lane to face Prestwich Heys.
In the West Lancs League, Vickerstown have the day off in the Premier Division due to Turton being in action in the Amateur Shield, while in Division One, Askam United will look to get back to winning ways at Croston.
