The top two teams locked horns in Division One of the Furness Premier League last Saturday as Soccer Bar drew 1-1 with leaders Hawcoat Park A.
Joe Mitchell scored for Hawcoat and Carl Gill was on target for Soccer Bar, who had two efforts disallowed but were also reduced to nine men.
Hawcoat remain three points clear at the top of the table, but Soccer Bar have three games in hand.
Bridge United remain in the hunt following their 2-1 win against Crooklands Casuals reserves thanks to a brace from Sam Davies. Callum McGovern replied for Cassies.
Croftlands Park reserves picked up maximum points on the back of a 3-2 win over Swarthmoor Social reserves, Charlie Segger, Paul Shields and an own goal making up the Croftlands score. Josh English replied for Swarthmoor as did Joe Carroll, who marked his 17th birthday with a goal.
Kieran Ottley was the hero as he scored the only goal as Kirkby United reserves beat a youthful Furness Cavaliers reserves 1-0.
An Archie Butler goal couldn’t stop fourth-placed Ulverston Rangers reserves losing 4-1 against Askam United reserves, whose goals came from Bradley Jackson (2), Keir Shepherd and Ste Wilton.
The match between Furness Rovers reserves and Millom A was postponed.
In Division Two, Matty Elliott scored a hat-trick in Barrow Celtic reserves’ enthralling 8-4 win over Haverigg United reserves, who have still to win a game this season.
Liam Mawdsley (2), Jack Rushton, Kurt Lord and Will Rimmer were also on target, while Jake Batty, Matthew Pennington, Reece Gooding and Mitch Stocks were the Haverigg scorers.
