Vickerstown reserves are now only a point behind leaders Kirkby in the Furness Premier League after defeating Bootle 2-1 in the only Premier Division fixture to survive the weather.
The visitors navigated the tough trip to Millholme thanks to goals from Mark Johnson and Max Green in what turned out to be their game in hand on Kirkby.
In Division One, leaders Hawcoat Park A had their second 3-3 draw on the bounce as they shared six goals with Ulverston Rangers reserves.
Sean Mooney, Zach Mooney and Stu Smith were all on target for Ulverston, while Sam Jefferson and Carl Pearson (2) replied for Hawcoat.
Furness Rovers reserves beat Crooklands Casuals reserves 4-1 thanks to goals from Jack Smith, Liam Cunningham, Jack Roberts and Cam McEwan. Terry Anderson replied in vain for Crooklands.
Askam United reserves came out on top of their eight-goal thriller against Bridge United, prevailing 5-3. Sam Davies bagged all three of Bridge’s goals but it wasn’t enough on the day.
Coniston sit top of Division Two as they registered another convincing win, this time a 4-1 thumping against Haverigg United reserves, with Andrew Warne (2), Patrick Maher and William Oliver all on target. Reece Gooding scored Haverigg’s effort.
Furness Rovers A lost 4-2 against Barrow Celtic reserves, with Derry Greaves, Jason Jackson, Kian Turner and Craig Hyde scoring for Celtic and Steve McAllister grabbing both Rovers goals.
Walney Island A beat Bootle reserves 5-2 with their goals coming from Seth Storey, Ben Tiffney, Dave Tippett, Paul Honeyman and Carl Hill. Matty Lampit and Dan Lowery were on target for Bootle.
