The CJS Knockout Cup final takes place at Craven Park tonight as Dalton face Walney Central A.
Dalton, who won the competition last season will be looking for their fourth honour of the season having won the Frank Reid Cup, Harry Warman Cup and the Barrow and District League.
Once again, Dalton will be going into the game as favourites as they have match winners all over the park. For their part Walney, will not be fodder as they have a keen bunch of young lads who play some entertaining rugby.
They reached the final without playing a game as they had a bye in the first round while in the semi-final Askam A failed to raise a team.
Last week, they went to Ulverston A in the Top4 Semi-Final where they were just edged out 24-16 after putting in an excellent performance with just 13 players to call upon.
At one stage, they were down to ten men but still stuck to their task, being 20-6 down at half-time before coming back to within four points to 20-16, but a late Ulverston try sealed the Dragley Beck boys the win.
For Ulverston, Ross Spenser, Josh Rankin. Kieron Potter (2) and Tyler Williamson were the try scorers, with Williamson, Howard Rowley and Mike Worrall kicking a goal a piece.
The Walney try scores were Liam Wright, Chris Rae, and Jamie Marshall, who also landed two goals.
