Jackie Finch won Barrow Golf Club’s Oonagh Flitcroft Memorial Trophy after producing the best score over the two rounds played.
Finch came out on top in the first round with a score of 102-36=66, but she faced some strong competition in the second, which was won by Margaret Collins with 96-20=76, but she held on to claim the overall title with 97-36=61.
The rest of the recent women’s tournaments at the club were shared among the other members, with Brenda Spilsbury winning the Presidents Putter qualifier with 98-25=73.
The nine-hole Stableford competition was claimed by Barbara Clegg, who scored 13 points, while Sue Kirkby took the Richardson Trophy with a score of 33 points.
Meanwhile, the club are still welcome to more beginners signing up for their Girls Golf Rocks course, for which no experience or equipment is required, which has a couple of weeks still to run.
At Grange Fell, the Three Sixes competition was won by B Shepherd, M Garnett and C King, who finished on 81 points, one mark clear of runners-up G Holden, M Taylor and D Moore.
