ROOSE Pioneers welcome back several familiar faces when they take on Wigan Bulldogs at Redwaters in North West Men's League Division Three.
Chris Larkin, Dan and Ade White, Liam Armistead,Chris Holmes and Glen Kaighan, along with old boy Scott Low, all come into the team.
Joint-coach Mike Backhouse said: “It's time to get some wins together and kickstart our season. We have a bit of a headache for a change with over 20 lads to choose from, but that's a bonus to not have to struggle to name a team.”
At Dragley Beck, Ulverston take on St Cuthberts without Sam Williams (broken finger) and Dinger Bell, who is rested.
Coach Dennis Porter said: “We are expecting a tough game – all Wigan teams are pretty good.We will take in tonight's A-team game and probably add to the squad”
Hindpool Tigers host Pilkington Recs A, who are on a good run with four wins from five, but the Brisbane Park side will go into the game with confidence after narrowly losing 18-16 at Leigh Miners two weeks ago.
Coach Darren Clark said: “We are looking for our first win after two close defeats. The lads have worked hard this week in training and we have at least 26 to choose from.”
Walney Central go to Shevington Sharks with Jordan Staffieri, Brad Nichols and Matt Holmes back. Missing are George Nichols, Jamie Ralph and Dale Waite.
