ULVERSTON Rangers must overcome the current West Lancashire League Division One table-toppers tomorrow if they are to book their place in the Presidents Cup final.
Gary Fawcett's side head to the neutral venue of Slyne with Hest for the semi-final against Bolton-based side CMB, who are currently battling it out with Lytham Town for the league title.
Rangers lost 3-0 at home to CMB on the opening day of the season way back in August, but the most recent meeting of the teams saw the South Cumbria side hold on for a 3-2 win despite a late revival from the hosts.
The winners already know they will face Lostock St Gerards – who host Millom tomorrow – in the final as they have been given a bye.
There is plenty of knock-out action closer to home tomorrow as well, with several Horne Cup and Paul Wilson Memorial Trophy second-round fixtures taking place.
In the North West Counties League First Division North, Holker Old Boys will be aiming to rebound from a heavy defeat last Saturday against Darwen.
Despite that 7-1 loss at Lower Breck, Holker are still six points clear of the bottom two with six games in the season remaining and victory at Rakesmoor Lane tomorrow would go a long way towards helping secure their status.
Manager Kevin Watkin should have a deeper squad to choose from too after several players were unavailable last week.
