HOLKER Old Boys are aiming to kick on after taking a huge step towards securing their status in the North West Counties League First Division North last Saturday.
Old Boys welcome AFC Liverpool to Rakesmoor Lane tomorrow in a buoyant mood after a 2-1 win over St Helens Town at home last Saturday, where two penalties in the space of three minutes from JP Stanway sealed victory.
That has put them five points clear of second-bottom Daisy Hill, having now played the same amount of games, and drawn them level on points with last weekend's beaten opponents St Helens.
Victory over AFC Liverpool, who Holker have already beaten on the road, would be another fillip for Kevin Watkin's side.
In the West Lancashire League Premier Division, Vickerstown aim to make it three wins in a row and boost their chances of a top-five finish when they travel to Hurst Green.
Hawcoat Park are chasing a top-five finish in Division One as well and can move up a place tomorrow if they overcome the side above them, Stoneclough.
Ulverston Rangers travel to bottom side Wyre Villa and Millom head to Eagley, while Askam United are at home to second-placed CMB.
The day's Division Two fixtures see Dalton United away to Croston Sports and Furness Rovers continue their push for a top-three finish at home to Galgate.
