ULVERSTON Rangers and Hawcoat Park both go into tomorrow’s West Lancashire League Division One derby with eyes on making inroads on the sides above them.
Fifth-placed Hawcoat, who have games in hand on the sides above them, in particular still have an opportunity for a high finish in the standings.
They will be eager to bounce back from last Saturday’s defeat away to Milnthorpe Corinthians too, where a late winner saw them go down 3-2 after two strikes from Elliott Moore looked to have been enough to earn them a share of the spoils.
It is a similar story for Millom, who host Lostock St Gerards, while Askam United travel to title contenders CMB.
Vickerstown have the possibility to move up several places in the Premier Division too if they can overcome fifth-placed Poulton at home tomorrow.
Furness Rovers are the only team from this area playing in Division Two when they travel to promotion hopefuls Croston Sports.
In the North West Counties League First Division, Holker Old Boys can go level on points with tomorrow’s opponents St Helens Town if they can overcome the former FA Vase winners at Rakesmoor Lane.
Meanwhile, table-toppers Bootle resume their push for the Furness Premier League Premier Division crown after a week off when they travel to Walney Island reserves.
