BLACKBURN Rovers’ under-23 captain Lewis Hardcastle has joined Barrow AFC on a one-month youth loan, the club have confirmed.
The midfielder has been with Rovers since he was six years old, making his way through the youth system and signing a professional contract with the Sky Bet Championship club in 2015.
Hardcastle enjoyed a successful loan spell with the Bluebirds’ Vanarama National League rivals Salford City, then in the Northern Premier League, the same year he turned professional.
He has also made three appearances for Rovers in the Checkatrade Trophy and spent the first part of the 2018/19 season on loan with Sky Bet League Two side Port Vale, making a total of nine appearances.
Hardcastle is available for Barrow’s match at home to Bromley tomorrow and will be at Holker Street initially for one month.
