WALNEY Central will face either Oldham St Annes or Ovenden in the second round of the BARLA National Cup if they can overcome Kinsley Hotel Rangers in their re-arranged first-round tie this Saturday.
Cents’ trip to Yorkshire was one of eight matches scheduled to be played in the last 32 over the weekend which fell victim to the cold weather, but has been quickly re-arranged for this weekend.
Fellow Cumbrian sides Glasson Rangers, Aspatria Hornets and Kells A had their matches postponed as well.
Of those who did manage to play their first-round ties, Cockermouth Titans suffered a 60-6 defeat away to Upton and Ellenborough were edged out 26-25 away to Blackbrook.
The second-round ties are due to be played on Saturday, February 23.
