FRESH from scoring an impressive victory over one of the North West Counties League First Division North’s high-flyers, Holker Old Boys look to make it back-to-back home wins when they host another tomorrow.
This time it is the turn of third-placed AFC Liverpool to visit Rakesmoor Lane, where they will be aiming to avoid the same fate which befell Lower Breck last Saturday.
On that occasion, a hat-trick from Holker captain Philip Coombe, plus strikes from Nath Reid, Brandon Collins and Robbie Wallace earned the home side a 6-2 victory and three more crucial points in their bid to avoid relegation.
So Kevin Watkin’s side will head into the clash against the Little Reds with a renewed sense of confidence, aiming to do the double over them after securing a surprise 2-1 away success against the same team back in November.
In the Furness Premier League Premier Division, Bootle face a test of their title credentials when they travel to 2017 champions and a team still harbouring hopes for this season, Croftlands Park.
Second-placed Kirkby United, two points behind Bootle with games in hand, head to another of the chasing pack in Haverigg United, while defending champions Hawcoat Park reserves host Barrow Celtic.
In Division One, leaders British Legion aim to push further ahead when they travel to Bridge United.
