PHIL Coombe led from the front for Holker Old Boys against Lower Breck, with the captain grabbing a hat-trick in a stunning 6-2 win in the North West Counties League First Division North.
Nath Reid, Robbie Wallace and Brandon Collins were also on target to seal an impressive victory over one of the division’s high-flyers at Rakesmoor Lane.
The result means Holker are now four points clear of the relegation zone with a game in hand over second-bottom Daisy Hill.
In West Lancashire League Division One, Crooklands Casuals took the spoils in the derby clash with Askam United thanks to goals from Steve Caskie, Rikki Gallagher and Dave Mansergh. Sam Purslow replied for Askam.
Two goals from Elliot Moore were not enough to earn Hawcoat Park all three point against bottom side Wyre Villa as the game finished 3-3, with Jamie Hodgson also on target for Park.
Walney Island lost 4-2 away at Galgate in Division Two in testing conditions, with skipper Joe Pearson and Matt Lockley were both on target for the away team.
Furness Cavaliers went 2-0 up at Mill Hill St Peters thanks to goals from Joe Blackshaw and Nathan Shaw, with the hosts also reduced to 10 men, but a late resurgence saw them grab two late goals to see the points shared.
Only one game was completed in the Furness Premier League Premier Division, where Hawcoat Park reserves overcame Millom reserves 4-2 thanks to a hat-trick from Jordan Rooney.
Tom Hammond got Hawcoat's other, while Will Phillip and Joseph Dobson replied for Millom.
In Division One, British Legion returned to the top of the table with a 6-3 win over Swarthmoor Social reserves. Zak Gill, Paul Williams, Jamie Denman, Lee Kavanagh, Conner Bone and an own goal rounded up the half dozen.
Askam reserves edged out Bridge United 4-3, with Josh Harris, Sam Davies and Lee Harkin replying for Bridge.
Jamie Edgley (2) and Ash Allenby fired Furness Rovers reserves to a 3-0 victory over Vickerstown A. Millom A dispatched Crooklands reserves 10-0. Nath Dryden bagged six goals, and Mark O’Brien, Dan Seward, Jordan Bawden and Jordan Bowen also netted.
In Division Two, Bootle reserves won 3-1 at Britannia reserves, while Haverigg United reserves beat Millom St James 5-3 in the derby thanks tp Gav Scudamore (2), Danny Munroe, Ian Tyson and Wink Birkett. Greg Waters, Carl Waters and Ryan Dickinson replied for Millom.
Walney A and Barrow Wanderers reserves drew 2-2, with Jamie Briggs and Zak Quayle the Walney scorers. Steve Burns and Harry Speirs replied for Wanderers.
