RORY Holden and Rhys Norrington-Davies have already made an impression on Barrow AFC manager Ian Evatt in the short time they have been with the club.
The pair linked up with the Bluebirds late last week, with Holden coming in on loan from Bristol City and Norrington-Davies joining on a similar deal from Sheffield United.
Northern Ireland under-21 winger and Wales under-21 defender Norrington-Davies both made their Barrow bows in the 1-1 draw at Boreham Wood last Saturday, having only represented their respective countries a few days earlier.
And Evatt was pleased to see both putting in strong performances.
“It obviously adds competition to the squad,” said Evatt. “They’re two international footballers, I’m delighted to have them and feel very lucky to be trusted with them.
“They were both excellent on their debuts having both been away for two weeks with Wales and Northern Ireland.
“It’s a results based business and I’ve just got to make my squad as strong as I can – and those two definitely add to that.”
The pair are with Barrow for an initial one-month loan spell which could be extended.
But Evatt does not expect any more signings to follow just yet.
“More than likely these will be the final additions to the squad until January,” said Evatt.
