8. Cartmel Village Shop - Cartmel

The shop contains a number of different items and the pudding is unfortunately only available for take away. Since we wanted to sit down and enjoy it, we went across the street and had it at the coffee shop. I’m sold on it."

Cakes (homemade) were excellent, and the sausage roll delicious.
Coffee top quality too. Service was speedy and very friendly - we felt very relaxed and had time to get up to date with our news. Our second visit this holiday and we will be back when we return later this year."

She was extremely friendly, and helpful when deciding which cake to have! I went for the choc and strawberry, the slice was huge and very very tasty, washed down with a pot of tea. Very reasonable price also. Menu looked to be a good choice. Will return again for more tea and cake!"
