HOMES on Walney were left without power after an electricity pylon set on fire.
Walney's on-call fire crew was called out to South End Caravan Park at around 5pm yesterday.
On arrival, firefighters discovered an electricity pylon was well alight and had to await the arrival of engineers from Electricity North West to isolate the power supply.
During the incident, around 305 homes on Walney were left without electricity.
The fire was extinguished and power supplies were restored by 10pm.
