Call the Midwife actress Helen George has shared that she has split from her longtime partner Jack Ashton.
The pair met on the set of the BBC drama and were together for seven years and share two young daughters together.
Sharing a statement, George said: “ Some months ago, we separated. Our two beautiful girls remain the focus and I respectfully ask for privacy for this next chapter.”
On Call the Midwife George plays fan favourite Trixie Franklin since 2012 whilst Ashton joined the cast in 2014 as Vicar Tom Hereward.
Fans of the show know that the vicar proposed to Trixie as their relationship began to grow, however, Trixie decided to end the relationship.

According to a source from The Mirror, the two actors fell for each in real life whilst filming the 2016 Christmas special of Call the Midwife in South Africa.
Speaking of the couple's split, the source shared: “Helen and Jack’s decision to end their relationship has been amicable, and no one else is involved. They have just grown apart as a couple. Until now, only their closest friends and family have known what is going on, but in recent weeks it has been shared more widely.
“They are both incredibly committed to working together to be the best parents they can for their two daughters.”
George and Ashton share two daughters together, Wren born in 2017 and Lark in 2021.
The Call the Midwife actress was previously married to actor Oliver Boot for four years.
