A PERFORMER has chased her dreams to Los Angeles and found her lucky break starring in world famous band Little Mix's latest music video.

The parents of 20-year-old Louise Danson described her as "an ordinary girl from Barrow with a lot of ambition". Miss Danson took up ballet and tap dancing at the age of five at Saxon’s Meadowcroft School of Dance, in Barrow and has wanted to perform ever since.

After graduating from Furness Academy Louise gained a scholarship at Liverpool Theatre School when she was just 16. There she completed a one year musical theatre program before being accepted at the very prestigious AMDA College and Conservatory of the Performing Arts in Hollywood to study Acting, Dance and Musical Theatre when she was 17.

Miss Danson's proud father Tony Danson said: "The first time we saw her perform was in her last year at Furness Academy when she played Scaramouche in We Will Rock You. We couldn't believe the way she could sing and dance, she was amazing, it was a bit of a shock really.

"Louise received such incredible help from her acting teacher at the school, Richard Kitchin and her dance teacher Saxon Winship, they were the people who inspired her to follow her dreams and move to Hollywood."

Immediately after graduating from her course Miss Danson was signed to an agency in Los Angeles and has appeared in a number of music videos. Her most prominent role in these was the main girl at the prom in Little Mix's video for ‘Love Me Like You’. This is a song that everybody heard when it was released in late 2015 and tells the story of a high school dance.

Louise Danson has said that her dance teacher Saxon Winship was one of her main inspirations for following her dreams to Hollywood.
Miss Danson has also appeared in videos for Wale featuring Usher, Phase V, Calvin Harris and Demi Lovato.

Mr Danson said: "Louise really enjoys performing in music videos but I think she sees her longevity in acting. It is not all glamour of course, she played the part of Emma Watson ‘Axe Girl’ at Universal Studios in Hollywood during a Halloween Horror Night. It was very hard work and she was quite bruised after performing there.

"We think she has done immensely well to establish herself in Hollywood at such a young age and she has managed to support herself since she graduated. She lives in an area of Hollywood called Laurel Canyon, where she rents with some other girls."

Miss Danson has also been scouted as a commercial model and has been snapped up for brands such as Too Faced Cosmetics, Blu Activ and Bydureon. She is currently auditioning for TV and film projects in Los Angeles and keeping her fingers crossed for a role which could take her career to the next level.

Miss Danson has shown that if you have enough courage to follow your dreams, no matter how big they are, then anything is possible. You can keep up with what she is doing in Hollywood by following her on social media:
