TWO teenagers who took a car without its owner's consent and damaged it have appeared in court.
Connor Young, 19, and 18-year-old Taylor McGrady were charged after a Nissan Qashqui was taken from Askam on June 19 and was damaged before it was recovered.
The pair, from Barrow, admitted aggravated vehicle taking when they appeared before South Cumbria Magistrates' Court.
The value of the damage was said to have been less than £5,000.
Young, of Long Croft, and McGrady, of Hazel Gill, are both due to be sentenced for the offence at the same court on December 18 and have been banned from driving under an interim disqualification.
