Five fantastic pooches, currently in the care of Animal Rescue Cumbria, are ready for rehoming. Are you ready to meet them?
Animal Rescue Cumbria and The Wainwright Shelter take in, rehabilitate and rehome 350 cats and dogs every year. Once a dog has been assessed by the animal care team, they can be advertised for adoption.
These beautiful dogs are ready to find their forever families…
REMZY is an eight-year-old Staffie.
He is described as a sweet-natured boy who is very friendly. loves people and thoroughly enjoys human company.
He is looking for an understanding owner who can continue his training.
Remzy walks nicely on the lead and also enjoys playing with his toys.
He has not lived with children or other animals before but once introduced, can be walked with other dogs.
The team at the shelter said: “He just wants a sofa to snuggle up on with his new family!”
OLLIE is a 2 years and 7 months old mix breed.
He is described as a super clever bundle of fun who is very friendly and loves to say hello.
Ollie would love an active family that likes to go out exploring and could help him learn new tricks.
He has previously lived with children and cats but would be best suited being the only dog in the home. He’d like some doggy pals that he could go out for walks with.
Animal Rescue Cumbria said: “We are working on keeping feet on the floor when greeting.
“He would benefit from ongoing training he’s super foody!”
REGINALD is a 13-year-old Staffie.
This ‘very handsome’ elderly man is looking for a retirement home to call his own.
He is good with other dogs and walks ‘lovely’ on a lead but would prefer to be the only dog in the home.
Reginald likes to be with people and is looking for a home where his new owners are around most of the time.
He would also love a home with a secure garden to potter in.
TEDDY is one year and ten-month-old Lurcher.
This ‘very affectionate boy’ enjoys being with people and would love his new family to be around most of the time.
He is looking for an understanding owner who can continue his training and needs a home with a secure garden to roam around.
Teddy could live with older children over 12 years old.
Animal Rescue Cumbria said he could potentially live alongside a female dog who is calm and well-balanced following careful introductions during appointments.
MIKE, the Spitz Cross, is estimated to be around five years old.
This ‘very sweet’ boy has been with the charity for over a year and is looking for an extra special, patient owner who can continue his training.
Mike needs a quiet, adults only home where there are few visitors, and he is the only pet.
The charity said: “Once Mike gets to know you, he is a very sweet boy who enjoys a fuss. He loves to explore our secure field, and his recall is coming on well.
“Mike can be reactive when out on walks so would like to find a home in a quiet are where there are not many other dogs and will need an owner who can build his confidence. A home away from built up areas where there are quiet walks would be great for Mike.”
If you think you could offer one of these gorgeous dogs the forever home they deserve, please fill out an adoption enquiry form for Animal Rescue Cumbria.
