A scout group in Furness are helping people deliver their Christmas cards this month.
With all proceeds going towards the future development of the Second Ulverston Scouts, the delivery service will be run in Ulverston, Swarthmoor, Pennington, Bardsea, Gleaston and Lindal.
Stamps are sold in strips for £1, or 20p per stamp, with cards then delivered to one of the available scout post-boxes.
These are at: Appleseeds, Market Street; Booths Supermarket; Croftlands Launderette, Central Drive; Devonshire Rd Stores, Quebec Street; Furness Building Society, New Market Street; Martins Newsagent, Market Street; Inspirations, King Street; Mountbarrow Road Service Station; Co-op Food, Priory Road; Scout Hut, Dragley Beck; Miner’s Arms, Swarthmoor; The Ship Inn, Bardsea; and Ulverston Health Centre.
Collection days will be on December 6, 10, 13 and 17 to make sure the cards arrive before the big day.
