The number of community events and festivals in and Ulverston is set to be boosted thanks to grants worth £10,000.
Ulverston Town Council made the announcement on Wednesday, November 27, which is the latest batch of funding they have made available to increase the regularity of attractions in the area.
Applications are now officially open, with submissions being accepted up until Monday, December 23.

A spokesperson from the Town Council explained: "We have a total of £10,000 to be spread across community groups, sports groups, organisations, events and festivals.
"All applications will be considered, however priority will be given to those who didn’t receive a grant from the first round of funding in April."
The Town Council considers grants to local organisations twice a year, with this the second round of financial backing in 2024.
The maximum amount for each application is currently set at £500, in the hope that this will allow more events to have a chance of coming to fruition.
However, the council acknowledged that a higher amount may be considered under 'exceptional circumstances'.

All groups who apply must have a committee, constitution, bank account and be based in Ulverston.
If your group, sports club, festival or organisation would like to be considered for a grant, you are asked to fill in and return the attached form with the required documents by the deadline next month.
A decision will then be made by the council's Finance and Grants committee at the beginning of January, which will then face full approval by the council in mid-January.
Grant applications will be considered against certain criteria, including whether the project meets an identified need in the community, and the overall financial viability of the project
