Students and staff in Barrow welcomed over 120 guests for a Christmas Extravaganza event.
A wonderful evening was had by all at Furness College’s Channelside campus last week.
Students and staff put on a free event to showcase the skills that are on offer at College.
On Thursday November 21, treatments were available to members of the public in The Salon and the Culinary Restaurant provided a dining experience.
Guests observed demonstrations of a variety of facials, massages, and hair tutorials by Beauty Therapy and Hairdressing students, whilst also having the opportunity to explore The Salon and treatment rooms.
Hospitality & Catering students were on hand in the Culinary Restaurant to serve an assortment of delicious canapés and cocktails for guests to try throughout the evening, including Cranberry Gin Fizz, and a Classic Champagne mocktail.
Arwen McAloone, Marketing and Communications Manager said: “We always look forward to this event and this year was another great success.
"It was amazing to see the students working confidently as a team and demonstrating such professionalism. The Extravaganza provided students with the opportunity to experience planning and hosting an event similar to those they are likely to be involved in in their future careers.
"It was also a great opportunity to inform the general public that we are open for business with some fantastic offers, and to showcase the wonderful work that our teams do.”
