The emergency services will be carrying out a planned security exercise at BAE Systems this weekend.
The defence company confirmed that the scheduled exercise will take place at its Barrow site on Saturday, November 30.
This is expected to run from 8am until noon involving both internal and external emergency services.
Members of the public have been advised that they do not need to take any action if they see anything out of the ordinary during these operation hours.
There will be no wider impact to the local community, other than the noises of the exercise that might be heard in the nearby vicinity.
