Film-lovers can once again have their name, or the name of a loved one, on the seats of the iconic Roxy cinema in Ulverston. 

'Sponsor a seat' is back with the money raised from these sponsorships going towards the Roxy Collective’s mission of restoring and renovating the art deco building which dates back to 1937.

The volunteer group formed in 2022 and are responsible for breathing new life into the cinema.

There are a limited amount of seats available we are being opened up to the general public for the opportunity to sponsor at £400 a seat.

A spokesperson for the collective said: "Please note that the name cards are temporary and as we look to renovate in the future we will update them to a more substantial style metal plaque.

"If you are planning on giving the sponsorship of a seat as a gift or Christmas present we can also create a certificate to pass on."
