A café run by two sisters has been nominated in The Mail's campaign to find the Best Coffee Shop.

Mail readers voted for the top places for a coffee and Fancy A Brew at Industry in Barrow was named among the top ten.

The coffee shop is ran by sisters Tammy Garner and Miranda Smith and is the in-house café of Industry 13 Strength and Fitness gym on Roose Road.

The establishment serves hot drinks, breakfast, lunch, cakes and other light bites.

Tammy said: "It's a nice surprise and unexpected. We started just over two years ago so it's still a work in progress. We wanted to go back to the roots more of a traditional coffee shop.

"So that means somewhere for people to sit, socialise and not feel rushed. We wanted to go with simple, tasty food which is based more around breakfasts and lunches, plus all our cakes are homemade.

Inside Fancy a Brew at Industry"There are only two of us and one of us has 14 years' experience of working in a busy coffee shop and the other owns The Mixing Bowl Cakery.

"In a nutshell we wanted to create a relaxed, friendly environment and it's lovely to know our customers appreciate this."

There will now be two weeks of voting as readers are encouraged to pick their ultimate champion, which will be revealed in December.
