Road improvements in a south Cumbrian town have made it 'safer' for people looking to visit a local beauty spot.
Westmorland and Furness Council has shared a look at the work carried out in Grange-over-Sands.
They worked in tandem with local councillors and the wider community to create a safer route for people choosing to walk to the Ornamental Garden on Main Street.
A spokesperson from the council added: "We were able to respond to safety concerns and introduce a new zebra crossing with tactile paving on the approach to support people with visual impairments, along with other improvements for pedestrians on the route.
"The programme was delivered by our teams who are dedicated to improvement road safety for all across Westmorland and Furness."
The work was made possible thanks to the council's Sustainable Transport and Travel Fund.
