Mountain rescue volunteers helped two walkers and their dog after they got lost in the Lake District.
Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team were called out to Red Screes on November 16 to help two walkers and their Labrador make it back to their vehicle.
The walkers had lost their route on the Screes and were finding it difficult to make progress - they were also carrying their 20kg dog which was making it hazardous for them to cross the boulder fields.
Volunteers for Wasdale MRT made their way to the walkers on foot with a boat party organised to follow, they confirmed that other than being cold and wet, the walkers had no injuries.
Wasdale MRT said: "All members of the party, including the now rested 20kg Labrador were content to attempt the walk with help from the team.
"They managed to successfully make it back to the team vehicles, with onward transport provided back to their vehicle.
"It was lovely to receive a visit from the walking party the following day, especially when accompanied by very nice biscuits. Thank you for the gift."
The callout took just over three hours to complete.
